Methodology

Methodology is a key component in determining the success of a project.  While classical waterfall methodologies have historically been applied as the de-facto standard to ERP project deliverables, agile methodologies are increasingly being utilised for the delivery of SAP solutions.

Agile methodologies (like SCRUM) take a more iterative approach to project delivery (with project work packages referred to as Sprints) allowing the projects direction to be adapted according to evolving project outcomes.  For many projects in the SAP arena now relying on model-driven deliverables (where solution design needs to evolve during the project) and increasing leverage of model-driven tools (like SAP Composition Environment) leveraging SOA-principles this project approach is proving increasingly popular as not just the most cost-effective approach but also the approach the delivers the best outcome for the business.
