It was important to find a partner that could work with us on strategy definition to shape our thinking and roadmap; and subsequently see this through to the delivery of master data management solutions that embed new ways of working through strong business process management and a framework for on-going data quality management.

Hillarys Blinds

UK’s largest made-to-measure blind company improves operations with AgilityWorks

About Hillarys Blinds

Hillarys Blinds are the UK’s leading made-to-measure blinds company. Each week 25,000 blinds are sold, manufactured and fitted into the homes of Hillarys customers.

Customer Service Optimisation

As market leader, Hillarys Blinds has built a deserved reputation for quality service. However, customer service processes were significantly manual and a step-change was required in the level of support offered by the 100-strong customer service department. Through the ‘Service Breakthrough’ programme, Hillarys, in collaboration with AgilityWorks have transitioned towards more efficient service processes and seen ‘a tangible reduction in service issues and escalated complaints’. Utilising SAP CRM as the technology foundation the Contact Centre were provided with a more complete view of the customer and an improved facility for managing customer interactions.

Financial Planning and Reporting

While Hillarys Blinds had most of their business information captured within a single ERP platform the challenge of translating this into business insight relied on a wealth of spreadsheets and manual processses. Leveraging a SAP BI technology platform forecasting and reporting outputs could be auto-generated (and weekly reporting could provisioned a day earlier) freeing up the business to focus on analysing the business rather than collating the data.

AgilityWorks aren’t your typical SAP Consultancy. They ask questions about your customer strategy and are passionate about the appropriate application of the latest CRM technologies. Having experienced it, I wouldn’t have it any other way!

Lincolnshire County Council

Leading edge local authority citizen data hub with SAP MDM

Most council systems have developed organically to support departmental processes. This typically results in departmental systems that each have their own independent customer master data. Harmonised citizen master data is critical to effectively deliver cross-departmental (and cross-council) operating practices.

Enabling a ‘Tell Us Once’ approach

The Customer Data Hub (CDH) is a central record of customer data which is brought together from disparate systems at county and district level to provide a single view of the customer. Customer data is received directly from the Registration Service and also from the CRM and service systems currently linked to the CDH – social care, library service, and North Kesteven District Council. When an update about a customer is received in the CDH it automatically sends this to the systems that have an existing relationship with the customer. When data is sent to partner organisations such as North Kesteven DC it is transferred using GCSX (Government Connect Secure Extranet).

Project Delivery

AgilityWorks and Mouchel completed the Customer Data Hub at Lincolnshire on time and to budget. The Citizen Data Hub was delivered using SAP MDM as the central repository and SAP NetWeaver for the user interface, workflow and systems integration (including integration with external partner organisations).

Benefits

The solution delivered a number of benefits including reducing the number of avoidable contacts, enabling more effective operational processes and systems rationalisation with a total payback of in excess of £2million over 5 years.

“By using the Customer Data Hub to send the changes automatically to all the systems the customer has a relationship with, we save £109,000 a year in front and back office, as well as enhancing the customer experience.” (LCC Registration Service)

Rexam Plc

About Rexam

Rexam is a leading global consumer packaging company offering a broad range of packaging products and solutions, using a variety of materials and technology.

Sales and Operations Forecasting

AgilityWorks delivered an integrated sales forecasting and capacity planning solution leveraging SAP planning tools. Of particular note was the high re-use of Excel as the primary planning interface with the added benefit of all data being controled, managed and residing in the SAP data warehouse. This solution replaced an increasingly complex manual excel-based solution that was resource-intensive and difficult to maintain.

AgilityWorks helped Rexam to roll-out a Sales Forecasting tool across its entire European Beverage Cans Business using SAP’s Integrated Planning product. Their Agile Development Methodology (ADM) enabled them to run a flexible development cycle where early play back of the developing solution to key business stakeholders meant that there was strong adoption amongst the user community. The solution was implemented from concept to delivery in approximately 12 weeks and it truly added significant value to the business process.
