Is SAP MDM mature enough for your business?

In a recent article on searchdatamanagement.com it is suggested that “SAP’s lack of reference customers with live implementations could reflect a desire among some customers to wait until NetWeaver MDM grows more mature”. This leads to the question of whether SAP MDM is mature enough to support Data Management solutions across SAP’s customer base?
Data governance – Perceived as value add?

Complexity is often quoted as the main reason for avoiding data governance. It needs a collaborative effort from IT as well as the Business Team. There is always more focus on data quality issues, while data governance takes a back seat. The combination of technology, people and processes can often prove too much due to the changes in responsibility, thinking and culture that are required.
