Introduction to SAP MDM (No fee consultation)

This half-day workshop provides a rapid customer specific workshop on MDM for organisations that appreciate the issues they face in managing their data effectively and are in the process of evaluating SAP MDM.

This MDM Awareness Workshop enables organisations to understand the business issues raised by the absence of effective organisation-wide data management processes and the potential benefits of taking a strategic approach to master data. Customer specific pain points are discussed and an overview of the capabilities of SAP’s MDM suite is provided.

SAP MDM Discovery & Roadmap (No fee consultation)

This intensive one-day workshop is structured to deliver an initial MDM roadmap for the customer. This workshop is intended for organisations that have acquired SAP MDM licenses and are now looking to identify where best to start and how to plan for long term success.

This workshop assists customers with identifying and prioritising their short, medium and long term data management initiatives and aligns these to the capabilities offered by SAP MDM. Our in-depth knowledge of SAPs strategic roadmap for MDM and considerable experience in the deployment of this suite of software ensures that realistic and achievable milestones can be established.

Kick-start SAP MDM (POA)

This service allows a customer to see MDM in action with their own data and is a powerful way of raising MDM awareness internally or fast tracking a preliminary MDM initiative. This service utilises MDM standard content where possible, making enhancements only when necessary.

The service includes data modelling, initial load of data and the set up of basic ongoing creation/maintenance processes. Options include extending the range of NetWeaver technology deployed beyond purely MDM - for example, by making use of Enterprise Portal and Business Intelligence. This service can be hosted if required. A minimum of three days is required for this service.

SAP MDM Proof of Concept (POA)

This Proof of Concept service delivers a customer-specific scenario in SAP MDM. Complete flexibility in scope is offered and the time taken to deliver will be adapted according to particular proof points and budget allocated.

Standard technical and functional content provided by SAP MDM is useful as a starting point but seldom allows a customer to truly grasp the capabilities of the toolset and how it might be applied to their specific scenarios. This service allows the customer to outline their precise scenario with specific proof points and this is then developed using a rapid application development approach. Functional requirements, technical scope and timeline for delivery of the Proof of Concept are agreed in advance during a one-day workshop. This service can be hosted if required and, where appropriate, could be expanded to include other elements of the NetWeaver suite. A minimum of five days is required for this service.

SAP MDM Project Planning (One day workshop)

This comprehensive one-day workshop allows customers to prepare effectively for a specific MDM project by outlining key factors for consideration before commencement. Extensive project experience is drawn upon to ensure the pitfalls of implementing this relatively new technology are avoided.

Standard project methodologies; technical know-how and even core concepts in SAP ERP need to be adapted when implementing SAP MDM. This workshop works through a specific high-level project scenario and considers the following key areas: the Architectural layer, how to play to MDM’s strengths and when to best utilise other SAP NetWeaver components; usage of SAP standard content versus custom development, phasing versus taking a big bang approach and how to support the solution after the initial Go-live. Other discussion points can be added by the customer upon request.

SAP MDM Rescue Package (POA)

Customers who have embarked upon an MDM project often have concerns which require specific expertise. The Rescue Package aims to resolve current issues in a timely and cost-effective manner and also provides an opportunity to proactively identify potential new ones such that risks can be mitigated in advance.

MDM is a relatively new skills set and there are very few specialists in the field who can claim to have operated within this niche area for several years. Our consultants provide an independent health-check of the current status of the project and work directly with the customer to ensure that existing issues are resolved as quickly as possible and future pitfalls are avoided. The service can encompass project wide concerns or specific technological issues. The duration and scope of assignment are agreed with the customer after an initial free of charge meeting.

Optimise

SAP MDM Training (POA)

Whilst standard training courses in MDM provide a good foundation from which to start acquiring awareness of the MDM suite, customers often find that a custom-specific course is a more cost-effective method for obtaining particular information needed by their internal teams.

A detailed course outline is agreed during an initial meeting and training material is then developed to specifically ensure that the selected topics are covered in depth. The topics may include areas not covered in conventional training courses such as usage of the Java API or Print Publishing. Training is delivered by consultants who have extensive experience in the field implementing projects and solid hands-on experience is gained through the extensive use of exercises. Training can be delivered at the customers’ site if needed. A minimum of two days is required for this service.
